ScoutIRL is a personalized event discovery app that helps you find activities you’ll love. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Data We Collect
Personal Information: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. ScoutIRL does not require an account, login, or any personal details to use the app.

Usage Data: The app stores your event preferences locally on your device, including:
– Events you’ve liked or disliked (swipe history)
– Your city and date range preferences
– Machine learning model trained from your swipes

Important: All data is stored locally on your device using iOS’s secure storage. We never send this data to our servers because we don’t have any servers.

Third-Party Services
Ticketmaster API: ScoutIRL uses the Ticketmaster Discovery API to fetch real-time event data. When you use the app, your device makes requests directly to Ticketmaster’s servers. Ticketmaster may collect standard web request data (IP address, device type). Please refer to Ticketmaster’s Privacy Policy for details on their data practices.

Data Storage
All your data is stored locally on your device using iOS’s UserDefaults system. Your swipe history and preferences never leave your device.

Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties. Period.

Your Control
– Delete your data: Simply delete the ScoutIRL app from your device. All your data will be permanently removed.
– Start fresh: Delete and reinstall the app to reset your preferences.
– No account required: Since there’s no account, there’s no data associated with your identity.

Location Data
ScoutIRL does not access your device location. You manually select a city from a list to see events in that area.

Children’s Privacy
ScoutIRL does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is designed for users of legal age to attend events.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.
